主よ

私たちをあなたの平和の道具としてお使いください。

憎しみのあるところに愛を
争いのあるところに許しを
分裂のあるところに一致を
疑いのあるところに信頼を
誤りのあるところに真理を
絶望のあるところに希望を
闇の内に光を
悲しみのあるところに喜びをもたらすものとしてください。

主よ

慰められるよりも慰めることを
理解されるよりは理解することを
愛されるよりは愛することを
私が求めますように

私たちは
与えるがゆえに受け
許すがゆえに許され
この身の果てた後にこそ
永遠の命にあずかるのですから

FOR PEACE

LORD,
make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O DIVINE MASTER,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

　コドモと一緒に、役所の裏の公園に行った。噴水の周囲を歩きながらシャボン玉を吹いてやると、穏やかな風に乗ってゆっくりと舞っていた。喜んでわらうコドモを取り巻いて、天国が垣間見え、弾けて消えた。
